Falguni Vashi is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and a Certified Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner. She specializes in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation. She treats patients with pelvic health conditions to alleviate pelvic pain, and improve bowel, bladder and sexual health.
Falguni earned her DPT (clinical Doctorate in Physical therapy) from MGH Institute of Health Professionals. She received her Pelvic Rehab Practitioner Certification (PRPC) through Herman and Wallace. She is currently enrolled in Women’s Health Coach Certification Program with the Integrative Women’s Health Institute.
Falguni has worked in a variety of rehab settings in the last 19 years, including Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA and St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH. Most recently she has been doing Pelvic Floor Rehab/Pelvic Health PT.
Falguni has extensive training in treating urinary, bowel and sexual health patients. She is also trained to treat transgender patients.
Falguni has been invited to speak at conferences for the Southern NH Oncology Nursing Society (SNHONS) as well as Northern New England Oncology Society (NNEOS).
Treatment Specialties and Style
Falguni treats patients with urinary incontinence (leakage), urinary retention (inability to urinate), difficulty urinating, nocturia (waking up at night to urinate) and enuresis (incontinence at night during sleep). Falguni also treats patients with fecal incontinence, fecal seepage and smearing, abdominal pain, constipation and diarrhea.
Falguni treats pelvic pain patients, including patients with Pudendal Neuralgia, Vulvodynia and many other forms of persistent pelvic pain. She includes the Pain Neuroscience as part of her treatment process and treats the patient in a holistic manner to include mind, body and soul.
Falguni works with women during and after their pregnancy to help them go through the pregnancy and post-partum phase. She loves treating post-partum women and has extensive experience in treating DRA (Diastasis Recti Abdominis), POP (pelvic organ prolapse) as well as improving sexual health during the post-partum phase.
In the last couple of years, Falguni has also delved into treating patients with pelvic cancers, during and after the treatment. She works closely with the Oncology team in helping patients get their quality of life back once their cancer treatment has been completed.
