ABOUT
Jackie Kono is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in New Hampshire and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts offering holistic counseling and somatic healing services for individuals seeking healing, personal growth, and greater connection to themselves.
Her work integrates evidence-based trauma therapy with nervous system healing, mindfulness, and body-centered approaches. Jackie specializes in helping clients heal the effects of trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, chronic stress, grief, life transitions, relationship challenges, and patterns that may keep them feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or repeating the same struggles.
Drawing from Attachment-Focused EMDR, Somatic Experiencing®, EFT Tapping, Polyvagal Theory, mindfulness, and somatic psychotherapy, Jackie helps clients move beyond survival patterns and develop greater capacity for resilience, self-compassion, emotional regulation, and authentic connection.
She believes symptoms are often messengers carrying important information about unmet needs, unresolved experiences, and protective adaptations that once served a purpose but may no longer be necessary. Her approach is rooted in the understanding that healing occurs not only through insight, but through the body, nervous system, and a deeper reconnection to one's authentic self. She is passionate about supporting people in remembering who they truly are beneath conditioning, wounds, and survival patterns, reclaiming the life force that has always been within them.
Jackie offers a holistic approach that honors the interconnectedness of mind, body, emotions, relationships, and spirituality. For clients who desire it, she welcomes exploration of spirituality, meaning-making, and personal transformation as part of the healing process.

FAQ'S
What types of concerns do you help clients with?
I specialize in trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, chronic stress, grief, relationship challenges, self-worth issues, life transitions, and nervous system dysregulation. My work supports individuals seeking deeper healing, greater resilience, and a stronger connection to themselves and others.
What is your approach to therapy?
My approach is holistic and integrative, combining traditional psychotherapy with somatic and trauma-informed modalities. I draw from Attachment-Focused EMDR, Somatic Experiencing®, EFT Tapping, mindfulness, and Polyvagal-informed practices to support healing of the mind, body, and spirit.
What is Somatic Experiencing?
Somatic Experiencing® is a body-based approach to healing trauma and chronic stress that supports the nervous system's natural capacity for healing and restoration. By gently working with physical sensations, emotions, and survival responses held within the body, individuals can cultivate greater regulation, resilience, vitality, and connection to themselves and their lives.
What is Attachment-Focused EMDR?
Attachment-Focused EMDR combines traditional EMDR with an understanding of how early relationships shape our nervous systems, beliefs, and emotional patterns. It helps heal both traumatic experiences and the deeper relational wounds that often live beneath them.
Do I need to talk about my trauma in detail?
Not necessarily. Healing does not require reliving every painful experience. Much of our work focuses on building safety, awareness, and capacity within the nervous system so that healing can occur at a pace that feels supportive and manageable.
Do you incorporate spirituality into your work?
Yes, when it aligns with a client's beliefs and goals. I welcome conversations around meaning, purpose, spirituality, and personal growth while honoring each person's unique path.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes. I offer both in-person and virtual counseling sessions for clients residing in states where I am licensed. Somatic healing and integrative intuitive healing sessions are available both in person and virtually, regardless of location.
How do I know if we're a good fit?
The best way to determine fit is through an initial consultation. This gives us an opportunity to connect, discuss your goals, answer questions, and determine whether working together feels aligned for both of us.
