Reflexology

Reflexology

Reflexology is a mind/body/spirit modality. A complementary, holistic therapy, it is based on the principle that all of the systems of the entire body are mapped out in reflex points on the feet (also the hands and ears). Reflexology is not just a foot massage (although it feels amazing)!

The gentle manipulation of reflexes on the feet can help restore harmony and balance within the body. Working the various reflex points can help in many ways, including reducing stress and anxiety, improving circulation, lowering blood pressure, alleviating digestive issues, promoting better sleep, relieving chronic pain, and more. After regular sessions, sometimes almost immediately, clients begin to see improvement, and they often leave feeling relaxed and balanced.

RLD (Reflexology Lymph Drainage)

RLD helps to increase the flow of the Lymphatic System in the body. This technique was developed by Sally Kay, from first principles and through extensive clinical practice. RLD has been shown to alleviate symptoms related to lymphedema and has also been found effective in reducing symptoms linked to various other conditions, including autoimmune disorders, fibromyalgia, digestive disorders such as IBS, and more. RLD supports the functioning of the immune system, which is currently a critical need. RLD is extremely relaxing and can be experienced as a stand-alone session or part of a regular reflexology session.

Adolescent Reflexology

Many adolescents experience anxiety, which can significantly impact their lives. It can lead to sleep issues, depression, panic attacks, regression, bedwetting, outbursts, unnecessary fears, and temper tantrums.

Adolescent reflexology is offered as a way to help alleviate stress and anxiety. Depending on the individual, these sessions typically last between 30 and 45 minutes. Self-care is essential for maintaining our health, as well as our emotional and mental well-being. We owe it to our children to teach them the importance of self-care.

ERR (Emotional Release Reflexology)

Emotions can trigger physical reactions in the body. Many clients experience an emotional release during or after a typical reflexology session, which led to further interest in this approach. Tensions within the body manifest at reflex points, often through sensitivity or pain. By guiding the body into a deeply relaxed state and addressing these sensitive or painful reflexes using various techniques, it becomes possible to bring repressed memories to the surface, allowing them to be released.

How often should I receive Reflexology?

Reflexology, like massage, chiropractic care, or acupuncture, should be an essential part of your regular self-care routine. It helps maintain balance in your body while rejuvenating your mind and spirit. Most clients choose to schedule reflexology monthly. However, if you are experiencing an ongoing chronic issue, it is recommended more frequent treatments until your body is back in balance.

What to expect during a Reflexology Session

During each session, clients are given 110% of attention and care. At the beginning of every appointment, time is taken to discuss what's been happening in your life, how you're feeling, and any specific concerns you'd like to address—whether they are physical, mental, or spiritual.

Sessions typically last one hour, but 30- and 90-minute options are also available. You will be asked to remove your shoes and socks but will remain fully clothed while lying on a massage table (or in a zero-gravity chair). Essential oils can be used for added benefit. At the end of each session, your feet will be wrapped in hot towels, providing a soothing finish to your experience.

If you are looking for a way to relax, rejuvenate your spirit, alleviate everyday stress, relieve chronic pain, or simply escape your problems for an hour, then Reflexology is for you!
