It’s a common occurrence in my office. Someone comes in to see me after being on vacation and feels terrible. “Was it too much ice cream or that extra glass of wine? Did the late nights do it? Maybe I just need to get back into my routine?” Flipping through the pages of their minds, they try to figure out what is causing them to feel unwell after their summer vacation. Are mosquito bites making you sick? Too often, in fact, mosquito infection is to blame.
Below is a case story of my client and how we utilized Biomagnetic Therapy to help bring her body back into balance and gain wellness after mosquito-borne illness.
Recently, Sharon came into my office, arriving to her appointment tired, discouraged, and emotional. She had just returned home from a trip to Cape Cod. A young woman in her 30s with two young children, she had saved and planned for this beautiful vacation with her family, and although they had plenty of fun moments, she was bitten by many mosquitos and little beach flies for the entire week-long vacation. She felt exhausted, anxious, bloated, and had fluctuating diarrhea and constipation, headaches, and body aches.
Applied kinesiology and dowsing revealed that Sharon had picked up West Nile virus (WNV) and Dengue virus that week. Both are spread through mosquito bites, and though many people who get infected don’t present with symptoms, some will experience fever, rash, muscle aches, and other symptoms. Mild dengue fever can cause a fever and flu-like symptoms like muscle and joint pain. Unfortunately, Sharon had the load of both of these infections to reap significant havoc for her.
In August, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) announced that due to ongoing evidence of mosquitoes carrying West Nile virus, several municipalities were considered to be at high risk from the virus. Dengue fever cases in Massachusetts were also on the rise this summer.
Fortunately, Biomagnetic Therapy can directly address mosquito-borne illness.
Biomagnetic Therapy is a powerful and scientific modality that uses therapeutic grade magnets to restore the body's pH balance to purge pathogens. By placing magnets on the body, the electromagnetic field in the body is brought to homeostasis via balancing the pH in targeted organs and systems. When this occurs, the environment is no longer conducive to the pathogens and the body releases them from their hiding places (sheltered areas where pathogens evade detection and continue to multiply) and symptoms improve.
In her first Biomagnetic Therapy session, I placed therapeutic grade magnets to specifically address the West Nile virus with the goal of reducing inflammation throughout her body. In addition, I placed magnets on various points on her body to support lymphatic and kidney drainage to support the detox process.
Additionally, in Biomagnetic Therapy, we always consider emotions as part of the healing process. We believe that emotional and psychological wounds can negatively impact your immune system and can have a profound effect on your body's ability to fight off illness. It was identified that the emotions of anxiety and fear were a factor in Sharon’s case, thus biomagnetic pairs were placed to help her subconscious process and move these negative emotions out of the body and further assist her healing.
Two weeks later, Sharon returned feeling brighter with less headaches, more energy, and reduced aches and pains. During our second session, it was time to address the Dengue virus and repeat the kidney and lymphatic drainage. In addition, biomagnetic pairs were placed for a few strains of Epstein Barr virus (EBV) that had been lying dormant in her body until the recent mosquito infection lowered her immune system and “woke up” the EBV, contributing to her symptoms and feeling ill.
Finally, we addressed the emotion of empowerment. Sharon and I discussed how there may be a desire within her to feel more powerful and in control of her life.
When Sharon arrived two weeks later for her third Biomagnetic Therapy appointment following her vacation, she reported all her initial symptoms has dissipated, and in fact, she said she felt better than she had prior to her vacation!
“How many people are getting bitten by mosquitos and have no idea that they have been infected?” she asked me. “Too many,” I responded.
Mosquito bites are nothing new in New England. Mosquito populations are also particularly high in the Southern States, the Midwest, and the Pacific Northwest of the U.S. These regions often have warm, humid climates that provide ideal breeding conditions for mosquitoes. However, with climate change bringing fluctuating heavy rains and hot, humid days, cases of mosquito-borne infection have increased beyond the normal reported numbers in many areas of the country where warmer temperatures have also extended beyond the summer months.
In addition, other types of mosquitos, like Tiger mosquitos, not normally found in the Northeast, have made their way to areas with the warmer air and warmer water temperatures. Tiger mosquitoes are small, black and white striped mosquitoes and are particularly problematic because they are active during the day, making it difficult to avoid bites. They are also highly adaptable and can breed in small amounts of standing water, such as in flowerpots. They can carry vector-borne infections, including Dengue fever, Zika virus, West Nile virus, and more.
Fortunately, biomagnetism can help detect various strains of vector-borne infections and subsequently balance the body to help alleviate many associated symptoms.
Not everyone who gets bit by a mosquito contracts infection, and for those who do, only a small percentage becomes seriously ill. In my biomagnetism practice, I see those clients with a premorbid high body burden – pre-existing infections lurking in their bodies, often lying dormant until a new infection lowers their immune system and the body is overwhelmed with the load. I often tell clients that their bodies hit their “tipping point.”
In addition, there is speculation that some individual’s genetic makeup creates a more difficult experience detoxifying from infection than others. Lastly, if a virus penetrates the blood brain barrier, the consequences are far more serious than one that stays in the blood stream or other reservoir in the body.
If you are infected with a mosquito-borne illness and present with symptoms, it’s no fun. I personally experienced the ill effects of mosquito infection myself last summer while vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard. Thankfully, after I received Biomagnetic Therapy, I started feeling better almost immediately.
If you or someone you know has been struggling with a myriad of symptoms ranging from low energy, headaches, gastrointestinal distress, emotional imbalances, body aches and pains or other symptoms, consider Biomagnetic Therapy to get to the root cause of your symptoms and find renewed health and vitality.
