Concussions are far more common than people realize, and their effects can linger far longer than expected, often without a clear path to recovery. You don’t even need to hit your head—whiplash or any sudden jerking motion can cause the brain to shift forcefully within the skull, leading to damage. Your doctor’s advice may be limited to rest and medication for symptoms like headaches. For many, that’s not enough.
Even after visible injuries have healed and your doctor has cleared you to resume normal activity, the body can hold onto disruptions caused by physical trauma, especially in the case of concussions, leading to persistent symptoms. Whether it’s a child who bumps their head on the playground, an adult who falls and hits their face, or a sports-related head or neck injury, the aftermath of a concussion can disrupt sleep, mood, mental focus, vision, energy, and more.
What’s worse? Researchers at Tufts and Oxford Universities have uncovered a possible link between head trauma to the activation of latent viruses already present in most of our brains. The study suggests that the jolt from a concussion may trigger these viruses, setting off inflammation and slow-building damage that unfolds over months and years. Some researchers suggest antiviral drugs as a potential early preventive solution.
But there’s a better option: Biomagnetic Therapy
Biomagnetic Therapy not only helps identify and correct underlying disruptions and imbalances associated with the impact points of concussions, but also targets underlying infections, such as Lyme disease, strep, Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), and more, unknowingly present in the body. At the NH Health & Wellness Center, Biomagnetic Therapy has been supporting the brain’s natural healing process for clients and reducing inflammation to aid lasting relief.
According to the Brain Injury Association, 11.4 million Americans over 40 with a history of traumatic brain injury (TBI) that caused loss of consciousness are living with a disability. Prior brain injury and head trauma have been linked to the development of neurodegenerative diseases and other conditions, including Parkinson’s disease, Ischemic stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), chronic pain, and depression.
According to the CDC, a concussion is a type of TBI caused by a bump, blow, or jolt to the head, or a hit to the body that causes the head and brain to move rapidly back and forth. This sudden movement can cause the brain to bounce around or twist in the skull, stretching and damaging brain cells and creating chemical changes in the brain.
A lesser-known phenomenon, known as contrecoup, occurs when the brain is injured not just at the point of impact, but also on the opposite side due to the force of the blow. Scar tissue from these injuries can remain for years, creating an opportunistic environment for underlying pathogens, including viruses, bacteria, and toxins, that most aren’t aware of and are a contributing cause to persistent symptoms, including:
Unfortunately, the conventional medicine approach to concussions is limited. Most often, patients are only advised to rest, and while important, it’s often not enough to address the root of lingering symptoms.
That’s where Biomagnetic Therapy offers a proactive approach.
Using biomagnetic protocols that specifically target concussions and brain trauma, we identify points of impact, contrecoup trauma, and associated drainage pathways. By placing magnets at specific points on the body tied to inflammation, trauma, and neurological imbalance, we help the body neutralize dysfunction at the energetic level, aiding symptom relief. These placements also help lower neuroinflammation, a key contributor to many post-concussion symptoms.
Here’s how biomagnetic therapy has made a difference for two clients:
Ellie, a 12-year-old client, came in for a Biomagnetic Therapy session after a hit to the head on a metal bar on the playground. Her mom casually mentioned it, saying, “It’s probably not a big deal. The doctor said she was probably fine and didn’t think it was a concussion.”
However, Ellie reported headaches, light sensitivity, mood changes, fatigue, dizziness, and vision changes. Upon muscle testing, her body confirmed what her symptoms suggested: she needed concussion work. I used specific concussion protocols along with a vagus nerve protocol. The longest cranial nerve in the body, the vagus nerve is intricately connected to mood, immune response, digestion, respiration, stress response, inflammation control, and heart rate.
The therapeutic magnets, strategically placed, realigned specific imbalances in the body. Sometimes that takes time; other times, it can be immediate in certain cases. At the end of the session, Ellie was visibly calmer, had better eye contact, and was joking around a bit. Her energy was softer and more regulated, clear signs that her system was beginning to stabilize.
Mary, an adult client referred to me by a local chiropractor she works for, had slipped and hit her face against the side of a car. When she came in, she was experiencing lightheadedness, pain behind one eye and in her neck, emotional sensitivity, fatigue, and trouble concentrating. She wanted to sleep all the time and was feeling mentally foggy.
I placed magnets for a specific concussion protocol. Two weeks later, she emailed me that she was “doing awesome!” She reported that our session helped, and she had no lingering issues. She was grateful that her chiropractor referred her, and she was happy to return to work with no symptoms.
Whether the injury is recent or several weeks old, Biomagnetic Therapy targets brain trauma, neurological inflammation, and energetic imbalances, while supporting brain function and alleviating a wide range of concussion-related symptoms, using therapeutic-grade magnets at strategically placed points. Every body is different, and every Biomagnetic Therapy session is customized based on what your body is asking for.
If you or a loved one has experienced a head injury—even one deemed “minor” or ok by your doctor—don’t wait. Why guess when you can know?
Rest is important. But healing may require more.
Biomagnetic Therapy aids the body in combating the symptoms associated with concussions, including underlying viruses.
