Ten years ago, I sat in a yoga workshop with my journal and wrote down a simple intention: On January 1, 2016, I will open a wellness center.
No business experience. No formal business plan. No experience running a wellness facility.
Just a clear knowing that something like this needed to exist—a place where people could find answers to their health struggles, going beyond symptom management. A place where practitioners could collaborate on complex cases. A place built on one guiding principle: Find good people. Do good work.
Three months later, the NH Health & Wellness Center opened its doors in Nashua, NH with four practitioners and the support and hard work of my colleague and best friend, Janelle. This month, now with 11 practitioners, we celebrate a decade of that simple intention transforming into something far greater than anyone imagined.
I'm thinking about the thousands of clients and patients who have walked through our doors over the past decade—for answers and healing. Thank you for partnering with us in your care!
Our conventional healthcare system shines when it comes to catastrophic events like heart attacks, accidents, and injuries. But it hasn’t served those who struggle with heavy pathogen loads like viruses, bacteria, environmental toxins, parasites, fungi, or trauma like concussions or emotional stress.
You know the story. You go to your doctor with debilitating fatigue, brain fog, chronic pain, or digestive issues that derail your life. You run test after test. Everything comes back "normal." You're told it's stress, anxiety, or just getting older. You're prescribed medication that manages symptoms but never addresses why you feel this way. You feel dismissed, unheard, even crazy.
Medical doctors save lives every day. But most aren't trained to recognize tick-borne infections, the impact of mold and environmental toxins, or how parasites and viruses hide in the body until your immune system becomes overwhelmed. They aren't taught to look at the whole person or investigate root causes instead of suppressing symptoms.
That's the gap the NH Health & Wellness Center was created to fill.
Healing from complex health conditions has been made possible for many because of the deep experience and knowledge of the practitioners at the NH Health & Wellness Center. They have come together to make this not only a place where people could finally get answers, but find hope and healing—in body, mind, and spirit.
The NH Health & Wellness Center is a place where:
It's ultimately a place where hope is renewed because there is always an answer to healing.
Because healing is never one-size-fits-all, the NH Health & Wellness Center has evolved to offer an extensive range of modalities to address the many unique challenges and experiences of diverse individuals:
For all the practitioners who have built their practices here over the years, there are no words adequate to express my gratitude. It has been a joy to support you in launching your first business or expanding your seasoned practice. You are the heart of what has made the Center so special and successful for 10 years, a place where healing work flourishes.
I also honor the practitioners who have come through our doors, built thriving practices, and moved on to their next chapters. Each one contributed to the tapestry of healing this Center represents. The clients and patients they served, the growth they experienced, the collaborative relationships they built—all of it continues to ripple outward.
To all the amazing doctors and practitioners who have served and continue to serve at the NH Health & Wellness Center, thank you!
And to every client who has walked through our doors: Your willingness to partner with us in your care, to try new approaches, to trust the process even when answers didn't come quickly, that trust is the foundation of everything we do. You've taught us as much as we've taught you. This Center exists because of you and for you.
What makes this Center different isn't just the range of modalities we offer. It's that our practitioners talk to each other.
In conventional healthcare, your care is often splintered. You see your primary care doctor, who refers you to a specialist, who refers you to another specialist. Nobody's connecting the dots. Nobody's looking at the whole picture.
Here, providers consult with each other. They collaborate. They connect the dots between your gut health and your anxiety, your environmental exposures and your autoimmune symptoms, your emotional trauma and your chronic pain.
These aren't anomalies. This is what happens when knowledgeable people do good work together.
Our integrative approach means having a team of highly trained specialists under one roof who can collaborate on complex cases. When conventional medicine runs out of answers, we're just getting started.
Our clients come not only from across New England but around the country. We've conducted remote appointments with clients all over the world.
The NH Health & Wellness Center will continue serving as a place where practitioners can thrive and clients can heal. We'll keep expanding our remote capabilities so geographic barriers don't prevent people from accessing care. We'll continue educating our community about the power of integrative medicine and root cause healing.
Most importantly, we'll stay true to that original intention from 10 years ago:
Find good people. Do good work.
Because that simple approach has changed thousands of lives for the better, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
